As you may have heard Dlive is ditching Steem like they're an ugly prom date. The coveted live streaming platform is changing blockchains. Many streamers are devastated and unsure of where to go. Some users of which are esports aficionados. They are stranded and need a place to go, let them come here. But only one thing will lure them away. I have already been pounding the drum on Telegram and in conversations with others.

A video platform.

512tech.com

Scorum needs a video platform to draw new users and streamers from Steem.

But why?

Look at a platform like Twitch. They have the ability for users to earn via tipping but only if it comes out of the viewers pocket. Having a video platform like Twitch on Scorum would let users showcase themselves via a way other than blogging and attract more diverse sports/esports content here. By letting users earn for creating high quality videos and streams we will see a spike in users and engagement. And as esports takes off you will see users make videos in other sectors because of how much esports will take off. Scorum is already getting noticed by the crypto community. Having a video/live streaming platform that is tailor-made for this community, I would feel that it would make us directly competitive with Steem. The biggest problem with Steem's videos was the videos payouts were artificially inflated due to bidbots and circle jerks. Not just on dlive but also on dtube the lesser of the two platforms. When the best content is artificially inflated then the creator won't get engagement. You can see this on posts here on scorum. High quality esports articles receive dozens of comments. Not because I or any other user paid a bidbot but because the algorithm worked like it was supposed to. People want to engage and talk to me about the podcast or blog someone made.

I want others to succeed. I want people to have the potential of becoming huge.

Wouldn't we like to have the next Ninja on here?

The face of Twitch and Esports.

Ninja aka Tyler Blavis.

A 27 year old professional streamer who makes his streams fun and easy for followers to follow. Someone who has added legitimacy He is a gamer who makes nearly 500k a month on subscriptions. When a viewer wants to get notified when their streamer goes online, get perks and want to support their favorite streamer they will subscribe or "sub" them. A business model that requires viewers to pay out of their pocket to subscribe to him. Imagine how many hungry streamers that want to be the next Ninja who will jump at the opportunity to stream esports on a sport/esports driven website that lets them earn not because people are paying out of pocket (less likely way to earn) but because they are earning from upvotes that replenish (most likely).

Having all of these hungry streamers competing to become the next big thing on our platform while earning in an ecosystem where bidbots are not the main way to make money. It is a recipe for success.

I think it is our duty to rattle the bars of this Thunderdome and call out for a video/live streaming interface on Scorum.
