What's up everybody! The Razer released a new Kiyo gaming webcam that actually features a built-in LED face light which is really cool. What make the webcam so special, because it has 12 levels of brightness which makes it very good for if are streaming in low lightning conditions.

A lot of that adding more light you are able to reduce the software gain and reduce your noise in your footage which is just going to improve the quality. So this should just help out making your stream a lot easier and lot less hassle to set up you are able to turn that light on and adjust the brightness by just turning the step dial around the face off the key.

The Main Specs

The camera itself is 4 megapixels and it can record up to 1080p at 30fps or 720p at 60fps. It's compatible with both OBS and Xsplit and it comes with a 1.5 meters long braided cable with a USB 2.0 connection.

A Lot Of Option To Mount The Kiyo Webcam

First impression when I saw this webcam is wow! that is different looking, because most camera of our a sleek design they mostly go unnoticed, but the Kiyo it's pretty massive when it comes to a webcam. The foot of the camera is fully adjustable with a weighted back so it sit a monitor bezel with ease.

As for how you mount the webcam you can either screw it onto a tripod with the quarter inch 20 screw or probably the most common way to mount the webcam is by just clipping it onto your monitor. The setup is pretty simple it's just plug and play once it's plugged in there'll be a small white light indicator that it's on.

There's is no actual software for this camera which is I think that is really weird not even through Razer's synapse program which is my opinion is definitely odd. I don't if they plan on introducing camera controls near in the future, but right now the only way you can adjust some basic camera controls is to whatever streaming software you currently use.

Both the base on and base off of the Kiyo is able to adjust to get a nice tight fit and also a better angle for your streaming or anything else you might use it for. Then as for the Kiyo cable it is braided with a good amount of flex and does also have a length of 1.8 meters. I think this is your best bet, because everything you getting from this camera is perfect especially if you trying to stream guys!
