SmallBall
Two of my favorite Communities have a chance to intermingle their Sports addictions, so I'm doing my best to promote that happening!
Recently I got back into playing SmallBall, which is an old game from back in the early 2000's. It has both Football (Soccer) and Baseball games from which to choose.
With both games the object is to train your team in various skill-sets and determine which players fit which positions the best.
There are various strategies for determining this, all of which are debated on which is the best. And that's what you get to find out by competing against other Owners on the field.
If you do well enough, you're invited into the Pro Leagues to compete with even better teams and move up the ranks. So, what does this have to do with Scorum?
Scorum
I'm inviting everyone on Scorum to check out SmallBall and join one or both of the Leagues I'm setting up in Football (Soccer) and Baseball. I'm even giving away some Free Teams and Tickets to improve your team.
Once there are enough teams joined up I will form a Custom "User League" for us to fight for SCR Prizes!
Promoting Scorum.com to all of the SmallBall Community to introduce all of them to Sports Blogging for rewards and bringing as many of you as I can to SmallBall is my intention, outside of fun.
How
By purchasing a low ranked team for $85, Team ID : 591, naming them Scorum.com and adding most of the Scorum Dev Team as the players.
Then I added stadium scoreboard advertising that shows during the time players take the field. So everyone that plays the Scorum.com team will see this on the scoreboard pregame.
The characters are limited to 39 chars, so I did the best I could with what I have. The ad is also displayed on the Team page and Scorum.com is on the Standings page. Only teams that pay for this ability have it (which aren't many), so it sticks out when you see it as a SmallBall player (I hope).
Watch GIF of Alexandr Trigubov's at bat. The games are pretty long for Baseball, the good thing is you don't have to watch, unless you just want to. Football games however are fairly brisk.
