Lawson Craddock fell unhappily in the 1st stage of the Tour de France 2018, which gave him a broken shoulder blade. Everyone thought the Tour of the American was over. But Craddock clearly thinking differently about that. He finally crossed the finish line in Paris  4 hours and 34 minutes behind on the Yellow Jersey Geraint Thomas.

The American had an extra motivation to keep up. He committed himself to a good charity. He would donate 85 euros to the charity per trip. Craddock lived in Houston, the city that was badly hit by Hurricane "Harvey" last year.

The collected money will be used to restore the velodrome in Houston, the place where Craddock learned to cycle. "I was lying in my bed after the fall and I wanted to turn the negative into something positive." he said to the journalist in his last interview.

He shared his idea on Twitter and challenged his followers to do the same. His fans could also donate money for the project. There was a huge response to the initiative, which for the time being yielded nearly $ 200,000.

Other crashes that show how much a cyclist can go trough the wall of pain are Philippe Gilbert & Peter Sagan. Both crashed driving downhill at a speed of 60-70km/ hour.

Thank God they are still alive! Watch the movie and feel the speed!

Do you find ok sporters go trough the wall of pain to not to give up? Or are they idiots to their bodies?
