Today in the Austrian Innsbruck men ITT race will take place. Racers have to go a distance of 52 kilometers. The first cyclist will start at 14:10 (CET). 61 sportsmen will take part in the competition, they will be sent to the distance with an interval of one and a half minutes.

The race track is laid between the starting city of Alpbachtal and the finish Innsbruck. The route can be divided into the following parts:
- the first is a flat area, from the start to the 30th kilometer;
- the second - a five-kilometer climb to the Gnadewald mountain with an average gradient of 7% and a maximum of 14%. It is likely that many riders will change their bicycles before the start of this climb;
- the third – descent with the length of 9 kilometers;
- the fourth and final - an eight-kilometer section on the crossed terrain.

Intermediate marks are located at a distance of 16.6 and 35.2 kilometers from the start. The second mark is the top of the Gnadewald hill. As can be seen, from the profile of the race, the main battle for victory is likely to unfold on the last 22 kilometers of the race - the riders will have to save as much as possible forces in the first thirty kilometers in order to quickly overcome the remaining distance.

You can see the race start protocol here. The main favorites for the victory are:

1. last year's winner Tom Dumolin, who is a great ITT-racer, and also has a good move up the hill.
2. Rohan Dennis, brilliantly showrd himself in individual races on the recently finished Vuelta, however, in my opinion, the presence of a serious climb can stop the Australian in his rod to good time.
3. Trio from Sky: Jonathan Castroviejo, Vasil Kiryienka and Michal Kwiatkowski. All of them were good at TTT-race, in which they took the fourth place, they are also the masters of the ITT. It is clear that in this race my favorite is Vasil Kiryienka from Belarus, I hope that he will succeed in becoming a two-time world champion.

In addition to the above-mentioned riders, we can wait sirprises from Wilco Kelderman, Bob Jungels and four-time world champion Toni Martin.
