Road Cycling at Euro-Olympics: routes, landscapes, low prices
One of the 15 sports that will be presented at the Second European Games in Minsk from 21 to 30 June will be cycling. The cost of tickets for competitions is very low - less than 5 euros, and you can buy them online through this link https://www.en.minsk2019.ticketpro.by/ . Therefore, we buy a ticket, print it out, show this ticket on the border with Belarus and you will be allowed into this beautiful country without a visa. And, of course, we attend various competitions, including road cycling. And we will tell you about the routes and what you can see on them. It is worth noting that literally last weekend cycling test competitions were held on the very tracks that will be used in June at the European Olympic Games, so we can spy on some places that cyclists will pass through, and therefore see viewers and fans around the track: Part of the route will run along the road with this pavement: The whole race will be held in the center of the capital of Belarus. On June 22, at 12.30, the start of the women's group race for 120 kilometers (8 laps 15 kilometers each) will be launched. June 23 will be held the men's group race for 180 km (the same circles are 15 kilometers, but there will be 12 of them). It is expected that 78 women and 148 men will take part in the group race, including the teams leading the world of cycling from Belgium, France and Italy. The route of one circle is as follows: The racers start in this race from the special mark “Kilometer Zero”, which is considered to mark the beginning of all roads in the Republic of Belarus. Next, the athletes will travel along the embankment of the river Svisloch. Then they will go to Victory Square, the configuration of which is compared to the road around the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, then the race will continue along Gorky Park, the favorite place for Minsk residents and guests of the capital. Also, the race route will run along the picturesque streets of Minsk - Pervomayskaya, Pulikhov, Smolensk, Lenin and Trostenetskaya, where athletes will turn around. Following to the center of the city, they will proceed along the road paved with natural cobblestones. They will return to Victory Square again, where they will unfold in front of the Victory Monument towards October Square, and there they are already very close to the finish line on October Square. The last three kilometers of the race are as follows: On June 25, individual races for 28.6 kilometers (2 laps, 14.3 kilometers each) for women and men will take place. They will be attended by 34 drivers from 23 countries, as well as 50 drivers from 30 countries.
