Wo0Ho0! It's that time of year again and you know what that means... Monster Cup!

As always there has been some crazy rumors flying around the paddock and as with all these events you never really know how true any of them are until the Event hits. There was one rumor in particular that i was very excited about and fans are already calling it "The return of the king" haha.

Yes! Four time Monster Energy Supercross Champ and one of my all time favorite riders, Ryan Villopoto will return to racing for this years Monster Cup! YEESS!!

This is epic news and I'm now sitting here counting down the minutes till the gate drops haha. At first he was down to ride the press day, practice and qualifying but people were unsure if he would be at the line for the main event. Villopoto has confirmed that he will be lining up though and guys, that means it's on!

Sure you can argue that he has slowed down since he retired in 2015 and that he is not as fit etc etc. The thing is, you don't become the first rider in Supercross history to win four back to back titles without having some of that special sauce on tap. This guy is a hands down competitor for any race he lines up for, a champion though and through and one that will be wanting to take that chequered flag haha. Man I'm so pumped for this Monster Cup now!

Let's check out the field and see what he is up against in the press day video :)

Loving the Number one plate on current Monster Cup, and $1,000,000 winner Marvin Muquins factory KTM. Musquin and Villopoto are the only two riders to have ever taken home the $1,000,000 prize for winning all three of the nights main event races. The fact that both these winners will now be in the same race is awesome.

Cooper Web will be making his Debut with Red Bull Factory KTM at the event and we also have Malcolm (Mookie) Stewart on his new Motoconcepts Honda. We will also see fresh blood that has moved up from the lites class also with joey Savatchy and Zack Osborne. Let's take a look at the Cup Class for the event.

Monster Energy - Cup Class

There will also be racing from the Amateur All-Stars, Supermini and KTM Junior classes which means a ton of racing and more than enough to keep a race fan very happy.

Amateur All-Stars

Supermini

KTM Junior

It's all shaping up to be an epic nights racing guys! I will keep you all posted with the results, timings so don't you worry.
