The off season rolls on and with only a few months to go now is the time for the big teams to hype things up. This serves two purposes really, firstly it gets the fans pumped up and with the tickets going on sale a few days ago this is a necessary step in order to boost sales. Secondly it never hurts to put your guys on a pedestal and strike fear into your opponents.
On the back of a very successful Straight Rhythm event Red bull Troy Lee Designs Factory KTM team have announced their squad for the upcoming Monster Energy Supercross season. Shane McElrath and Jordon Smith head up the team with Sean Cantrell and the rookie this year is Mitchell Falk. The team have treated us to a video to showcase the riders and check out how they are preparing on the KTM test track.
How do you guys think the KTM 250 squad will do in 2019?
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna sign Jonas
I have been very impressed with Husqvarna's progress in the sport in recent years and i think this is only the beginning with the KTM sister brand. It has started to signal the rise of European motorbikes and KTM/ Husqvarna's success across all disciplines is a very strong fairy tale and i don't think it has much chance of being stopped in the near future.
So to add on their recent success, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna have announced that they have signed Pauls Jonass! This is a huge deal for Husky and remember we are talking about not only the 2017 MX2 Champion but also the youngest Latvian champion ever. This guy is no joke and knows exactly what it takes not not only complete at the highest level but also to win.
Jonass will be making the move up to the premier MXGP 450 class though and as good as any rider is this will take some time to adjust to a larger bike. Look at Herlings, won EVERYTHING in his 250 career and blasted the record books in his time riding the MX2 class. His MXGP move up though was a stop start affair and it took him a season to get his style locked in but now... wow...

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing - Pauls Jonass
I wish Jonass all the best moving up and i think he has an amazing team behind him. The twenty one year old has certainly caused a few ripples in the pond of motocross so far in his career and i don't expect these to settle any time soon!
