Monday turned out to be successful for the “Red Bison” (the team on the MAZs produced in Belarus): the crew of Alexei Vishnevsky won the third stage of the Morocco Desert Challenge rally; the crew of Sergei Vyazovich organizers returned victory on the second!
The crew of Alexei Vishnevsky was only ninth at the first control point of the CP1, but then the pace of the 510th MAZ began to grow. At CP3, the guys were already fourth, at WP 257 km - third, at WP 338 km - second, and at the finish they showed the best time of the day! The Vishnevsky crew traveled the entire 374 km distance in 4 hours 51 minutes 3 seconds! After MAZ No. 510, the leader Roland Foerman finished on MAN TGS - the Dutch lost 1 minute 43 seconds to the Belarusians.
For Alexey Vishnevsky, this is the first victory at the international level - congratulations!
The crew of Sergei Vyazovich during the race at the third stage rose to the second position (WP 257 km), but ended up with the fifth time, losing 4 minutes 25 seconds to Vishnevsky.
After the finish, another great news came to the Red Bison camp: after analyzing GPS readings and track recordings, the race organizers concluded that there were no violations by the crew of Sergey Vyazovich at the second stage, and therefore they canceled 10 minutes fine imposed on MAZ No. 503 for alleged failure of the two control points. This means that it was Sergey Vyazovich who, in his new kapotnik, became the winner of the second stage! And MAZ already has two wins on the Morocco Desert Challenge!
In the general classification after the first three stages, the situation is as follows. The leader in the standings truck remains Roland Foerman. In second place is Peter Versluis, speaking at the same MAN TGS.
The crew of Sergei Vyazovich rose to third place in the general classification - the leader he loses 16 minutes 48 seconds.
The crew of Alexei Vishnevsky now occupies the fourth position in the "general". His backlog from the first place - 27 minutes 12 seconds.

The route of the fourth stage of the Morocco Desert Challenge connects the settlements of Assa and Foum Zguid. Its length is 355 km.
Starting time for crews: the 510th (Vishnevsky / Garanin / Murylev) will start the race at 08:33:00 local time (10:33:00 Minsk time); 503rd (Vyazovich / Zaporoshchenko / Sachuk) - at 08:46:00 local time (10:46:00 Minsk time).
The international Morocco Desert Challenge Rally runs from April 13th to 20th. Most of the route is laid on the desert and sandy terrain. Unlike other rally-raids, there are no slopes on the track: “combat” segments begin with bivouacs. Riders to overcome 2741 km of special stages, divided into eight stages. Among the obstacles are dunes, soft sands and dry river beds. In the T4 category (trucks), 34 crews went to the start. In addition to MAZ, the following brands participate in the race: DAF, Ginaf, Iveco, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Renault Truck, Scania. For "MAZ-SPORTavto" this is the first in the history of the team "combat" start in Africa.
