It is finally over - works WRC teams agreed about many things and it won't be that cheap as the most insisted on. Current WRC engine stays for the future and if now produces around 400bhp, from 2022 with hybrid power it could go close to 500bhp.

It could be dangerous on special stages of the World Rally Championship. This amount of power on gravel could produce consequences same as when group B ruled the world of rallying.

Drivers must be super good for this because any shunt into the public could be fatal. That's why FIA insists on super license for new WRC drivers. I would say that's good.

So firm Compact Dynamics got the tender as a sole supplier from 2022 and from what I heard it is a three year deal.

Engines won't change to save the power of engines but some other stuff as gearbox etc could be for all the teams the same.

Just to mention that current WRC engine costs around 150 000€ each.
