Whole rallying world knows who Colin McRae was but his brother Alister is not that well known publicly. He never won any of the WRC events but managed to snatch British Rally crown in 1995, the same year when older brother Colin won WRC crown.

Colin's son died in the same chopper accident as his father but we are talking here about Alister's son Max who lives in Australia with his father and family.

Max is 15 at the moment and he is more in circuit racing, just as Carlos Sainz jr, who's father was WRC champion in 1990 and 1992. It seems that WRC sons are more real about today's rally sport at the top level because if you don't have bags full of money to burn or some manager who will pay you a seat and then take half of your salary until the rest of your career, then better don't even try anything.

Fortunately, Max McRae has family and garage full of rally cars and he can drive family cars and that way try what his family name made big of.

We will see in October how good is 15 year old kid in a rally car.
