Kris Meeke is very realistic man and he knows that at age of 40 he can't be fast as youngsters of 20 and a few years. Guys at Toyota know the same so that's why they didn't offer him a new deal.

He will now have to find a new joy outside WRC, probably at Dakar series with off road vehicles. His mentor Colin McRae did the same when he lost his job at WRC. It is the same path for both of them. It is the same path for all the drivers from World Rally Championship. When they finish their career at the top, they find a new career in off road rallies or rally cross.

Look at Carlos Sainz sr who is leading Dakar Rally at the moment but he is in the class of his own.

Meeke will have some testing duties this season because he is still under the contract at Toyota but he won't have some WRC outings (for now).

That's it. He did the best of him.
