R5 rally cars market is bigger and bigger from year to year. When we know that WRC cars aren't that mush sold as it used to be because of the high price (750 000€), privateers look for an other options such as R5 category which is pretty quick and much cheaper to rebuild.

Hyundai started with their i20 R5 rally car at the start of 2016 but their engine lacked power a lot so competition of Škoda, Ford of Volkswagen beat it easily.

Now they have improved car which was in my posts in the last few months and it seems that they are pretty serious about the whole project because they entered into WRC2 category as a manufacturer.

They gave their cars to R5 regular drivers such as Nikolay Gryazin and Ole Christian Veiby who are already very quick and it is expected that they will give 100% of the car right out of the box.

Team that will run the cars will be some private outfit from Estonia as satellite team of Hyundai.

Let the best win - as always...
