Škoda Motorsport revealed today that they won't be officially present in the World Rally Championship for season 2020 but there is an option to co-operate with some of the private outfits that run Škoda Fabia R5 rally cars and have good reputation.

It also seems that they signed young Oliver Solberg but there is no official confirmation of a deal because young Solberg has been enterd for Monte Carlo Rallye with his own Volkswagen Polo R5.

Well, the brand is same as Škoda because they are all part of the VAG group so there is not problem with that but I heard an info that he will have more then 10 WRC outings next season in R5 machinery.

It is very interesting thing to know that they sold more then 300 Fabia R5 rally cars over the world and every car costs around 250 000€ so this is very profitable for the company.

I guess that it is good for them to stay in the sport in longer term.
