Can you imagine the crash with your car at 155km/h on some gravel road in the forest with forces of 88g?!? That was the crash of Francois Delecour and his co-driver Daniel Grataloup at Rally Australia 2002.

I remember that year and that rally very well because that was the only thing I was thinking about - the rallies. Mitsubishi had a terrible season because at the end of the season 2001 they introduced their Lancer WRC which was terrible car in comparison with the competition.

Makinen (current Toyota WRC boss) left the team for Subaru, as a driver, of course but Delecour and Alistair McRae joined the team as a replacements.

Both drivers pushed whole year but the results were terrible. And when the results are missing, you start to overdrive. Then you start to crash more then often.

That's what happened to Delecour. His co-driver Grataloup finished his WRC career after that crash and that was it.
