Hi, friends!
I follow Spaniard Dani Sordo from the early 2000's when he drove Production WRC class with Mitsubishi Lancer group N. Something told me that this guy is someone to follow. And yeas, in 2005 he won Junior WRC title with Citroen C2 Super 1600 in front of Colin McRae's protege Kris Meeke. I was a huge fan of McRae but I didn't cheer for Meeke back then. I knew that Spaniard Sordo had better speed and he was the driver to follow.
In 2006 he drove for Kronos Racing team with Citroen Xsara WRC when Citroen took sabbatical year from the sport. He had some podiums and that was enough for Citroen to sign him for 2007 when they came back with C4 WRC car.
From that time scored around 40 podiums with only one win but he is one of the drivers who always finish the rally and in good points. And that's why they signed him again from Hyundai works team.
They signed also another driver with big history in rallying but I won't talk about him because he destroyed the sport with his domination.
Sordo had to drive Monte Carlo Rallye and he already starting with testing for the event but now it seems that this another driver will be behind a wheel of Hyundai i20 WRC car. Sordo revealed in his Twitter profile that his first start will be in Mexico in March. Another thing he said is that he will have 8 starts in 2019.
Good job for him...
