Japanese rising rally star Takamoto Katsuta gets Christmas and New Year present from Toyota WRC team with eight WRC rallies for season 2020. That is a great stuff for this young man because that is a sign of his improvement in sport and positive sign for his driving skills because it is not an easy stuff to have a program with works team these days.

I always wandered who's gonna be next Japanese driver to get a seat after Toyota entered sport again and there were two names: Takamoto Katsuta and Hiroshi Arai.

Just to remind you that Hiroshi Arai is son of ex-works Subaru driver Toshi Arai who was the last works Japanese driver in WRC.

I don't know why Katsuta became Toyota protegee but it is good for Japan to have their nationality and flag in sport.

Now Katsuta has known season 2020 program and rallies he will contest are:

Monte Carlo

Sweden

Portugal

Sardinia

Finland

Germany

Wales

Japan

He will have to make good of his chance because there are some very fast guys standing in line for that seat.
