Austin, Raikkonen gasp. Hamilton 3rd, title postponed.
The wrong Ferrari wins, that of Raikkonen, which also thanks to the second place of Verstappen, postponed the world title for the Englishman. Vettel, author of another mistake in the initial stages, closes in fourth position.
Now only mathematics is opposed to reality, for Hamilton, a new step forward towards the conquest of the title, for Vettel's Ferrari, another mistake that precludes every possibility in the world.
We are however happy that, lost for lost, it was Raikkonen to win, we know that the Finn is in the final salutations of his career as a Ferrari driver and is arguing perhaps his best season in recent years.
It would have been really a shame not to put, as if icing on the cake, at least the victory in a grand prize.
Kimi did not win from the Australian GP of 2013: after 5 years, at 4 GP from the end of his history with the Cavallino, he took a great satisfaction.
The World missed by Hamilton is the most interesting surprise arrived from Austin. And as already happened, the regrets for Vettel increase, could take home 25 points, to make at least a little more exciting the season finale, but yet another mistake of the German serves on a silver plate the final victory to Hamilton.
We hope that Vettel will find himself in the next season and that he will bring Ferrari back to the world title.
