BUDAPEST - Scuderia Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel admits he is lucky to finish the race in the Formula One world championship (F1) Grand Prix (GP) Hungary. Especially with the incident involving Vettel with Mercedes AMG driver Tim Petronas, Valtteri Bottas.

The incident involving Vettel and Bottas itself took place on the second corner when the race narrated five laps again. Bottas wants to avenge Vettel action which overtook him at the first corner when entering the second corner of Hungarian F1 2018.

But in reality, the Bottas tire locked and just hit the back of Vettel car. Due to the incident, Bottas had to accept the fact his car was damaged. Even Bottas also have to give up the third position taken by Kimi Raikkonen.

Lucky despite having an incident with Bottas, Vettel still continue the race and finish it by grabbing the second podium. The situation also brings Vettel to keep distance from Lewis Hamilton in the hunt for the title of world champion F1 2018.

So far, Vettel is still in second position in 2011 F1 standings. German racer is 24 points away from Hamilton who is currently leading F1 2018 standings.

"I really feel very lucky to be able to catch up after the scratch, and lucky my tires do not leak. Tim immediately informed me that my tire condition was well-up. I do feel our car perform well until the finish, "said Vettel, as quoted from Motorsport, Monday (30/07/2018).
