Alonso wins in his first two participations, a milestone dating from 1929
Fernando Alonso continues to make history for Spanish and World motorsport. The Asturian driver is the second driver to achieve the victory in his first two races at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The British Woolf Barnato managed to win in his first three appearances in 1028, 29 and 30 aboard a Bentley, went to the sixth, seventh and eighth edition of the legendary race. Despite a Toyota # 8 depleted in performance, Fernando never gave up and kept the car at a sufficient distance to take advantage of any mishap. The plan of Toyota to distribute the prizes, World for Alonso and his and the 24 Hours for the other car, were frustrated with the puncture of Pechito Lopez, less than 50 minutes from the checkered flag.
