This card starts in just under 15 minutes, and I wanted to get out some of my utmost lock picks and fighters that should net you some cash this morning! With such an odd start time for a fight event, it's most likely that any last minute updates on fighters will be unavoidable, and at some times many sharks will play two fighters against each other on the same card...
I believe in crafting a DFS card around two or three expensive locks, and making due with the rest of the cheaper fighters. With no pre-cursor knowledge, we can really only trial and error with as close to 100% we know. Start with the sure thing, and take a risk with the 50/50 matchups. In Draftkings, when a fight is 50/50, take the fighter with a cheaper draft cost.. mathetmatically, you are getting the same skill set and chance of winning for a discount!
Enough rambling, let's move to my locks!
Manny Bermudez ($9200)
The second most expensive player on the slate, but I actually like that he is so overpriced. He was $8800 against the same opponent last time, but since his opponent had pulled out of that matchup, they seem to be giving Manny even more of an edge with the rescheduling. Everything that Davey excels in is grappling, and that is where Manny is a serious black belt and one of the most dangerous men in the division. I feel as though Manny is a lock, and he may very well be in the 50%-60% owned range if people are smart.. if we get him at somewhere in the 40% range we just may hit the top 10 today!
Glover Teixeira (8600)
Another case of the last fight blues. A few tough losses to Alexander Gustaffson and Rumble are the only times we've actually seen Glover finished, this was also the man that fought 5 hard rounds with Jon Jones just a few years back. Don't sleep on this man, his opponent has never taken a shot well and Glover is one of the most well rounded and hardest hitting light heavyweights in the world. I love Glover on all my cards today, and he feels like lock city to me! Hopefully people fall for his opponent's good run and cheap price, because I'm all in on the Brazilian today!

Shogun Rua (7500), Vitor Miranda (7400)
My punts go with the old time Brazilians! One time for the old era, and I believe they have the matchups to shine and come through for me today! There are plenty of punts even in heavyweight Stefan Struve (7200) and even the reckless but at times very dangerous Jeremy Kimball (6800). Just be careful your punt doesn't get ko'd in the first round.. because they are very cheap for good reason.
