After being blown out by Team LA Mateos @mateonav53, I'm sitting in a pretty interesting spot - between a rock and a hard place. After winning my first game and feeling somewhat enthusiastic about the rest of my season, I started encountering some serious bumps in the road. Keeping trust in my childhood favorite QB in Eli Manning for one game and switching out Sterling Sheperd in another cost me two games that I should of won. In my mind, I should have a 4-3 record at best, but here I am on the brink of losing any potential playoff spot left.

I could chalk up my rough experience so far to the fact that this year is my first time playing fantasy sports but that's just not in my character to make excuses because for the most part, I did make an honest effort and even after tough losses I still imagined a turn around at some point.

Even with expert analysis from Marcus Hemmingway @janusviews who constantly says that anything can happen for a team who is 1-6 or even 2-5 (like me) and that there's no reason to give up hope just yet, I can't help but have a dismal outlook on the rest of my season

Here's a preview of my next game, which I expect to win.

Hopefully this will be the game that lights a fire under my team for the rest of the season and propel me back into playoff position. My fingers are crossed, however, with superior competition lurking about in Team Dudmuffin @swolesome and Team Awesome Dawgs @robbijg I can't yet feel all too confident like I once did.

Regardless, keep your hopes up for me if you're one who admires a story-book ending.

A look of my line-up is below for Week 8:

If you anyone has any words of inspiration, suggestions, or up for smack talk then please be my guest. My team could use the extra motivation.
