First, Congratulations to all Belgium supporters as Belgium managed the best ever finish in their history. They are now the third best team in the world after France and Croatia. England finishes with back to back defeat, and they are awful today too. Belgium had a brilliant display today winning the game by 2-0 and an eventful game from a fantasy perspective. Belgium took a lead in the 4th minute from the goal by Meunier assisted by Chadli. Meunier became the 10th different player to score for Belgium, which was another historical moment, became the second team to achieve this record after France. In the end of second half, Hazard scored for Belgium assisted by De Buryne to seal the victory. Now, Harry Kane is now closest to the golden boot as Lukaku couldn't score today although he had 2 brilliant chances created by de Buryne.

Belgium:

From a fantasy perspective, clean sheet for Belgium which means extra 4 points for all defenders and the goalkeeper and extra 1 point for the midfielders. To begin with, Courtois got a clean sheet and made 5 saves which means 7 points for him. Courtois had little to do on today's match. Alderwireld was solid in the back although Belgium was barely tested. He made a clearance from the line to deny Dier and equalizer for England. Vertonghen and Kompany too had little to do against England and they keep good track of Kane and Sterling respectively. Meunier was brilliant today and threatened England's back line from the right. He scored in the 4th minute of the match to take Belgium ahead which means 12 points for his managers. Witsel stood still in front of his backline but conceded yellow at the end of the match resulting 2 points in fantasy football. Tielemans troubled England's midfield many times and had a good game. Chadli went injured after a hamstring injury in the first half but he created that goal for Meunier which means he contributed 4 points for his managers.

De Bruyne was a constant threat to England and created many dangerous passes which Lukaku missed twice. He was behind both the goals for Belgium. He gets assist for Hazard's goal and that is 6 points for him in fantasy. Hazard trouble continuously to English defense with his pace and physical presence. He should have scored a couple of goals but John Stones denied him in the first half. He scored a goal in the second half, that is 6 points for his managers. Finally, Lukaku was wasteful today. He was awarded brilliant goal scoring chance by de Buryne but his poor first touch lets him down. Much was anticipated from him, but he ended with 2 points in fantasy football.

England:

England finishes fourth in the world cup after a lackluster performance today. They were not trying their best to win the match, but there was some spark of brilliance in the second half. They conceded 2 goals, and that is the deduction of 1 points for their backline and the goalkeeper. Pickford should have saved the shot by Meunier and managed to touch the ball which was not enough. Overall, a decent game for him. Jones was the flop of the match and was very poor today. Hazard gave him very bad time on the pitch and he was caught out during Hazard's brilliant finish for the second goal. Stones were the best defenders for England today, and he conceded yellow cards meaning zero points to his managers. Maguire was great again, solid at the back and did well going front and winning those headers. He also conceded yellow cards. Trippier created many chances going forward and had many superb deliveries inside the box but nobody was there to utilize it. Rose was out of form and did nothing, and was replaced in the first half. He was caught out for Meunier goal.

Dier was poor in the midfield, and couldn't cope with De Buryne. He had a shot saved from the goal line. Delph was very poor and couldn't help his defenders against Belgian midfield and left many spaces. He made an excellent goal-saving tackle. Loftus-Cheek was great today, created many opportunities and caused trouble to Belgian backline. Sterling was replaced after the first half as he didn't look convincing yet again today although he was good with his speed and movement going forward. He did create a chance for Harry Kane but without a result. Harry Kane looked tired today and missed a couple of huge chances which should have been converted. Lingard, Rashford, and Alli came as a substitute to boost England's attack but was in vain.

How do you rate the player's performance today? Who was your best player today? For me, it was De Bruyne.

To follow, the World Cup final is between Croatia VS France tomorrow. Who will win the FIFA World Cup 2018? Will Croatia make a history or France will win it for second times?

Thanks,
