How are you all keeping my Scorum friends? I hope you guys are all in tip top form and looking forward to your weekend where ever it is you are.

I'm just checking in with an update after scaling week 7 of my new fit life dedication. I say scale as it seemed like a mountain pre Christmas 😨

That's when I kicked off this new regime and at the time I'll be honest, that initial workout was a slog, a pain, a burden. I won't lie, I was not looking forward to it, but I did it. Nike spent millions on that catch phrase which is now synonymous with their worldwide brand. JUST DO IT.

That's what I implore any of you would be trainers, joggers, sloggers, walkers, roller bladers. Just get up, throw the gear on and reclaim your fitness and guess what it's good for your mental health too. Get those endorphins firing and get little fresh air.

So anyway, enough of that, I don't want to come across preachy, just sending good vibes to the four corners. From Bangkok to Boston and Canberra to Copenhagen. So what did week seven involve? OK, let's lay it out for you guys. The idea of this post is twofold. It keeps me accountable and secondly and equally importantly, I'm hoping it may urge one or two of you to get back on the bike, dust the golf cubs down, get them hiking boots back out do the attic.

I was delighted with this week and consciously put in a good hard week, with no rest day as I knew I'd be away with the family for a few days during week 8 (kids midterm break) and also I had the Off The Ball live event with Niall Quinn, Graham Souness, Kevin Kilbane and Brian Kerr on the Monday night. That meant a night drinking with my old buddy and meant almost certainly a training blank the following day.

So next week, I'll be happy if I can hit 5 workout days. Let's see how it goes, eh...

How did this all start off?

Some of you might have missed that first post that was inspired by @mikey and @battleaxe back before Christmas, where I laid out 5 ideas for things I would look to change and get back into. You can read all about it here:

https://scorum.com/en-us/scorum/@ablaze/don-t-forget-to-feed-the-minnows-and-my-5-resolutions-for-2019

Just so you know, I haven't forgotten about the other plans and ideas, and I am trying to find time to do a full update on everything at some stage. More on that to follow when I find the time.

That's all for me for now.

Thanks a million for reading as always.

Peace Out.
