Hello everyone, today we are going to talk about the ketogenic diet that has become quite popular for being an effective diet in fat loss.

Since, I'm sorry, I'm not very familiar with this diet, I've heard of it but I've never been curious to realize what it was, I did some research today and yesterday in my spare time, so I apologize for any mistake and if this happens, correct me . Thank you!

What is the ketogenic diet?

The ketogenic diet is a high-fat, adequate-protein, low-carbohydrate diet that in medicine is used primarily to treat difficult-to-control (refractory) epilepsy in children. The diet forces the body to burn fats rather than carbohydrates. Normally, the carbohydrates contained in food are converted into glucose, which is then transported around the body and is particularly important in fueling brain-function.

However, if there is little carbohydrate in the diet, the liver converts fat into fatty acids and ketone bodies. The ketone bodies pass into the brain and replace glucose as an energy source. An elevated level of ketone bodies in the blood, a state known as ketosis, leads to a reduction in the frequency of epileptic seizures.

How can i follow the ketogenic diet?

To make the ketogenic diet, one should eliminate all carbohydrate-rich foods like bread and rice, and increase mainly the consumption of foods rich in fats, while also keeping a good amount of protein in the diet. This diet works to lose fat because, in this way, the body starts to use the fat itself as a source of energy instead of the carbohydrate that comes from the diet (we have already talked about this effect on the carb cycling diet).

The problem

" The most common problem today is what we eat. Modern man seems to have gotten so wrapped up in processing stuff that it actually became bad for us to eat. Many years ago man ate meat! This was his diet. He would kiss his family goodbye and go off in search of a wild animal for meat. There was no processed wheat, refined sugars or msg to concern himself with. "
