Hey Scorum fam,

For those who don't know what' I'm up to, here's a quick summary: 4 weeks ago I set myself a personal challenge, which was to become totally shredded.

I mean, I want to be more than just moderately fit. I want to have defined muscles, and my biggest goal is to get a 6-pack for the first time in my life. I'm a skinny girl so I don't have much weight to lose, but the belly area has always been a bit problematic for me. My reasons for doing this are to become a better BJJ player, look better and feel better.

To keep you in the loop, I have made some serious dietary adjustments, mainly reducing fat and carbs and increasing my protein intake (video about that to follow soon), but more importantly, I have been working out every single day.

I only allow myself a rest day when I really feel exhausted (like yesterday!), because overworking yourself is also not productive. The body needs to recuperate at some point. Other than that it has been a mix between BJJ trainings 2-3 times a week and weight lifting at home.

In the below video, you'll see Thursday's workout from our home gym, and I'm very proud to report some progress since week 3!

  • I have increased the weights that I'm using for pectorals (from 2.5lb weights on the bar to 5lb weights, and the free weights are 10lb instead of 6lb from last week).
  • My abs are getting stronger, and my rope game is improving as well. This simply shows that when you persevere, you can reach your goals. It's all about how badly you want this!

I have not yet reached mine, which is to be totally completely shredded, but it's a marathon, not a race. I hope you enjoy this video, and that it motivates you a little as well =)

I'm sore as hell today, but pain is just weakness leaving the body LOL
