Hey y'all! It's time for some Monday motivation. As Swolesome and I close out week 2 of our fitness challenge we have both come up short. Swolesome didn't do any actual workouts but he did walk about 20 miles this week while he was at work. I'm giving him a little bit of slack because he does work 50+ hours a week, but he still owes $10 for not doing 4 workouts. I on the other hand did two legit workouts and one mini workout. Still, I didn't get four workouts in so I owe $10 as well. So far we have $30 in the pot and we're only two weeks in. Swolesome, we need to do better...
Measurements
Arms-13 inches
Thighs- 24 inches
Calves-16 inches
Waist-36 inches
Weight- -0.8lbsMy measurements didn't change at all this week and honestly I didn't expect them to. I know that it's going to be a slow change and I'm going to have to be both persistent and patient to see results.
Somehow I lost 0.8lbs this week. I didn't eat very healthy (other than a few salads) this week and I drank a ton of soda when I said I wouldn't. I am extremely disappointed in myself this week. I acted as though I wasn't even trying to be healthy and I know I could've seen more results if I would have had more self discipline.
Moving Forward
This week I'm going to focus more on what I eat than what type of workouts I do. I ate McDonald's one day last week and it made me feel horrible a few hours later. I swore that I would never eat there again and I'm going to use that pain for motivation. This week my only goal (other than exercising four times) will be not eating any type of fast food.
I'm not quite ready to give up sodas completely just yet. I tried last week but the headaches were so bad that I needed to drink soda just to get through my day. I'm going to try to wean myself off of them instead. Do y'all have any advice on how to quit drinking soda?
I'm not going to lie, I feel like I'm doing a fitness challenge with a brick wall. Swolesome does give me a lot of encouragement but there's no competition when he doesn't workout. I feel like I'm just getting paid by him to get fit. We said that we were both getting fit for Scorum but I feel like I'm the only one doing anything, because I am. Swolesome, if you're reading this please make time to exercise this week. It's not much of a challenge without you...
Y'all comment below. Leave some encouragement, suggestions, advice, a joke, anything. I love hearing from y'all!
