🏃 🏃 Regaining my fitness Week 10 update
The weeks continue to fly in and the days spin by in a blur. When you're busy time seems to just fly past quicker and quicker and it's a very busy time for me right now. I have a lot on at work, at home and every waking minute is being utilised to the max. It's all good but I must say I'm looking forward to my upcoming holidays. A week in sunny Portugal is just what the doctor ordered. But for now I'll continue to burn the midnight oil and hit all my targets. At this busy time most especially, I'm trying to keep my fitness regime intact, as I know how easy it would be to park it for a fee weeks. I also know that I'd struggle to reform that habit also, and if end up back at square one. I'm closing in on 100 days of fitness now at this stage, so it's on wards and upwards for me. I have meant to change up my routine a bit a number of times and people like @eoghan.mcmonagle have suggested some great exercises that I could look to incorporate, but so far time constraints have meant that I have stuck with what I know, but at some stage I will definitely look to change things up a little and in doing so I can ensure that more muscle groups are worked. Here is what I managed in week 10. WEEK 10 EXERCISE BREAKDOWN Day 62Rest30 minute Mindfulness before bed. Day 63110 x pushups90 x Dumbell curls (9Kg)90 x Dumbell side lifts (9Kg)200 x sit ups 100 x jumping jacks150 x No weight arm exercise 150 x shadow box30 minute Mindfulness before bed. Day 6485 x pushups90 x Dumbell curls (9Kg)90 x Dumbell side lifts (9Kg)200 x sit ups 100 x jumping jacks100 x No weight arm exercise 150 x shadow box30 minute Mindfulness before bed. Day 6540 x pushups80 x Dumbell curls (9Kg)80 x Dumbell side lifts (9Kg)200 x sit ups 100 x jumping jacks100 x No weight arm exercise 150 x shadow box30 minute Mindfulness before bed. Day 6695 x pushups80 x Dumbell curls (9Kg)80 x Dumbell side lifts (9Kg)200 x sit ups 100 x jumping jacks100 x No weight arm exercise 150 x shadow box Day 67115 x pushups90 x Dumbell curls (9Kg)90 x Dumbell side lifts (9Kg)200 x sit ups 100 x jumping jacks100 x No weight arm exercise 150 x shadow box Day 68Rest MINDFULNESS Two things that you may have noticed above are firstly I managed 2 rest days, which I am going to look to do more frequently. 5 days out of 7 isn't too bad after all and I don't want to overdo it and risk injury. With that in mind, for any of you guys who are thinking of starting a fitness regime of your own, do remember to stretch correctly before beginning. I find this quite good and not overly detailed or time intensive: The second thing and arguably more importantly is the addition of Mindfulness to my exercise regime. The mind needs attention just like the body and I often neglect it and I suspect many people fall into the same category as my in this regard. This week I managed to factor in four Mindfulness sessions just before bed. It's not ideal as I do fall asleep pretty quickly, but I really do enjoy it for those few minutes that I am awake and in fairness they are sleep meditations, so I guess they are doing their job. I'm hoping for more of the same next week. Chat to you all then. Peace Out.
