Every premier league Matchday is never a dull week and with the week 11 games being the weekend before the final international break of the year 2021, as usual, teams wanted to go into the break on a high and well, about six got their wishes while eight may have had to settle for one point each.

A lot of talking points from the Manchester Derby and more importantly, Norwich City getting their first league win of the season and away at Brentford was no mean feat.

20 goals were scored in a weekend that saw many strikers go blank, averaging two goals per game, with four of the six victories coming from home teams and just two away victories.

Despite Norwich getting their first league victory of the season, the club parted ways with manager, Daniel Farke, while Aston Villa also booted Dean Smith after five losses on a bounce and have replaced him with former Liverpool captain, Steven Gerrard from Rangers. What a weekend.

The weekend also saw the join highest number of red cards along with game week 4 with three red cards to Brighton, Everton and Watford.

Southampton 1-0 Aston Villa

Southampton's Adam Armstrong, along with Ivan Toney (33 goals) is the only English player to have scored at least 30 goals in the Championship and Premier League and it was his first goal at the St. Mary's just 75 seconds after coming on as a substitute. Prolific.

Manchester United 0-2 Manchester City

With their 0-2 loss to Manchester City, Manchester United have now conceded more goals (11) at home (Old Trafford) than Norwich City have conceded (10) in their own home ground (Carrow Road). Messy.

It was so bad for Manchester United on the afternoon that they had just four touches in City's box. That was their fewest since the 2008/2009 season. Scanty.

Bernardo Silva has scored three times in his last four appearances against Manchester United and all of these goals have come at Old Trafford. It is only against Burnley that he has scored more (4) since arriving at the Etihad. Loving the Theatre.

Manchester United have now failed to keep a clean sheet at Old Trafford in their last 14 games in all competitions. Leaking.

After conceding an own goal in the match against Manchester City, Eric Bailly became the first Manchester United player to concede an own goal in the Manchester Derby. Derby villain.

Manchester City are currently the biggest winners at Old Trafford of any other team, having won there 8 times, four of which have come under Pep Guardiola. Nemesis.

Chelsea 1-1 Burnley

Chelsea's Reece James has created three assists in eight premier league games this season. This is more than he recorded (2) in each of the entirety of the last two seasons. He has included four goals in this time. Movement.

Chelsea's Reece James became the fourth player to be involved in the most premier league goals this season after undoubtedly Mohamed Salah (16), Michail Antonio (9) and Jamie Vardy (8). Stuff.

The equalizer against Chelsea was Matěj Vydra's first goal in the premier league since April, putting a stop to his 15-game run without a goal. Risen.

Norwich City 2-1 Brentford

The last time Norwich scored two goals in a game was in December 2019 against Tottenham, before doing so against Brentford. Woken.

Arsenal 1-0 Watford

Arsenal captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has now missed his last two penalties; against Villa and the last one against Watford. Although he was fortunate to score the rebound against the former, he wasn't a second time lucky against Watford. Misser.

Arsenal's new number one, Aaron Ramsdale has now kept 5 clean sheets in the premier league for the club, this is more than the number of goals he has conceded in the league (4) with them and more interestingly, he is yet to lose a game. Guardian.

Arsenal have won 17 points in the premier league since the start of September, more than any other club in the competition. They have, in the process scored 13 goals, conceded 4 and kept 5 clean sheets, moving from 20th to 5th on the log in this time. Leap.

Following his winner against Watford, Emile Smith Rowe has now being involved in six goals for Arsenal in the premier league; four goals and two assists. West Ham United 2-1 Liverpool

There have been two own goals scored by goalkeepers in the premier league this season. The first, Tim Krul for Norwich against Manchester City and now Alisson Becker for Liverpool against West Ham United. Irony of duty.

West Ham have scored 31 premier league goals from set pieces (which excludes penalties) since January 2020 when David Moyes returned to the club. This is five more than any other club in the competition. Strategy.

After scoring Liverpool's leveller against West Ham, Trent Alexander-Arnold has now been involved in 45 premier league goals for Liverpool with 9 goals and 36 assists. Divock Origi scored his first premier league goal for Liverpool since July 2020 when he scored against Newcastle, becoming the second highest player to score as a substitute for Liverpool with nine goals after Daniel Sturridge who scored 10. Impact from the sidelines.

The victory for West Ham was the first David Moyes has recorded as a manager over Liverpool in 15 meetings, losing 10 and drawing 4, inflicting what was Liverpool's first loss in 26 games in all competition. Broken.
