Few months ago, one would have thought England defender, Luke Shaw would be looking away from Old Trafford but he seems to have turned his story around.

The 23-year old missed a large part of last season due to a horrific leg break he suffered and when he returned, faced fitness problems.

He was also subject to criticism from his manager, Jose Mourinho who believed the young English man needed to do more to lose weight hence, Ashley Young was deployed at left back.

With Young flourishing at left back, it earned him a call up to the England national team to the FIFA World Cup in Russia where he also played at left back as England reached the semifinals.

Fast forward few months, Shaw is currently being considered for a new United deal after finding himself back as a regular in Mourinho's team.

The former Southampton man has played in seven of United's eight league games this season.

With his contract set to expire this summer along with eleven other players, Shaw has been identified as one of the few that the club is keen to keep hold of with a lot of prospect he poses.

Can Shaw maintain this momentum? Time will tell.
