Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has been named the Premier League Manager of the Season to complete a clean swoop of the three major individual titles by the blue side of Manchester, after Ruben Dias and Phil Foden won the Premier League Player and Young Player of the Season respectively.

The Spaniard was voted the best ahead of favorite, West Ham's David Moyes, who a lot of pundits touted for the award, following an amazing season for the Hammers which saw them narrowly miss out on a Champions League spot, but still secured a place in the Europa League next season.

Guardiola, who has since his arrival in England, brought a new face to the game at the Etihad guided his side to their fifth premier league trophy in the club's history.

By the end of 2020, Manchester City were languishing in midtable, struggling to get a grasp of their form but am amazing run of form following the turn of the year led to the Guardiola-led side claiming the premier league title with three games to spare.

This amazing run saw his side go on a 21-game unbeaten run in all competitions which included 15 straight wins, an unprecedented run that saw them turn their season on the head.

The former Bayern Munich coach, who has only failed to win the premier league title once in his four-year stint in England saw his team score the highest number of goals and also conceded the least, 83 and 32 goals on both sides respectively.

The award was Guardiola's third in England, having already won it in 2018 and 2019.

The Spanish manager fended off competition from his compatriot and Leeds United manager, Marcelo Bielsa with whom he shares great respect, Leicester City's Brendan Rodgers and Manchester United's Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
