The final Premier League Matchweek of the year 2021 saw seven games down, with the remaining three postponed due to Covid-19 and injury issues among several teams.

The seven matches that went down brought mixed fortunes for teams like Chelsea and Liverpool, who both drew and lost their games, allowing Manchester City, who although struggled, won their game by a lone goal to extend their lead at the top.

18 goals were scored, an average of 2.7 goals per game.

The standout game for me has to be Leicester's win over Liverpool. The Foxes were without eight first team players Pereira, Johnny Evans, Caglar Soyuncu, Wesley Fofana, Patson Daka, Justin, Ryan Bertrand and Harvey Barnes on the tonight, while Vestergaard and Tielemans were on the bench and no recognized centre backs, with Wilfred Ndidi and Daniel Amartey deputising in the heart of the defence.
