John Terry was for many years the Chelsea captain and known as a great leader. Since then, he has become assistant coach at Aston Villa, as he has been since 2018, but now it should reportedly be time for the former center-back to try something new.

Derby County have recently fired their coach Phillip Cocu, meaning that they are without a coach and Terry seems to be the right man to take the job but it should only be a matter of time before he is presented in the job.

Frank Lampard who is Terry's former teammate and former Derby coach has been out saying that Terry has the quality of a good coach and he is destined to become a coach one day.

Derby is currently at the bottom of the Championship and they have seven points in 14 matches. Wayne Rooney is currently temporary playing coach, but it seems that it will be Terry who will be in charge of Derby.
