Tottenham and Arsenal clashed at Spurs' home ground. It was the 188th derby. Tottenham has started fantastically this season, Especially the duo with Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son has built up a wild collaboration and has been a big reason for the great start to the season.
Arsenal started the match in control, but it was Tottenham who opened the scoring in the match, After 13 minutes of play Heung-Min Son received the ball on the left side of Arsenal's half of the field and after dribbling down to about 22-25 meters outside Arsenal's goal, the Korean kicked it into the corner without a chance for Bernd Leno and its 1-0 to Spurs.
The takeover of the game continued to accrue to Arsenal, Tottenham did what Tottenham do this season, Breaks the ball in front of their field and runs a counter that ends with Son playing Kane free blasting the ball on the underside of the crossbar and into the goal, Again Leno without any chance. 2-0 at half time to Tottenham.
The second half continued with the same match picture where Arsenal had to create chances. The fact is, Arsenal are simply not in a period where they are mastering the discipline of creating chances against an in-depth squad.
Tottenham did not get any goals or great chances in the second half, and it therefore ended with a 2-0 victory for Tottenham. With the victory, Tottenham moves up to first place, and just continues in cynical style to defeat opponents via great counter-attacks. Arsenal remain in 15th place, and must eventually look far behind the top-4 rankings. With the defeat, Arsenal have now only scored in open play once in the last seven Premier League matches.
