Croatia midfielder Luka Modric was named Best Player or Golden Ball winner at the 2018 World Cup after bringing his country into second place after 2-2 down to France in Moscow on Sunday.
Modric outclassed Belgian playmaker Eden Hazard, who also succeeded in bringing his country to third place in the World Cup after stopping England 2-0 on Saturday (14/7).
The Best Goalkeeper or Golden Glove was awarded Thibaut Courtois from Belgium and the FIFA Fair Play award was awarded to the Spanish national team.
England captain Harry Kane won the Golden Shoe Golden Boot 2018 for scoring the most goals in six goals.
The French striker, Antoine Griezmann, became the second leading scorer with four goals and two assists.
Griezmann passed Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku who scored four goals and one assist, Russian Denis Cheryshev, Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal and Kylian Mbappe of France who also scored four goals but did not make assists.
The award of the best young player or FIFA Young Player was captured by French striker Kylian Mbappe, who scored in the 2018 World Cup final. He equaled Pele's record as a teenager who scored in the final, according to FIFA. article source
