Just exactly 35 years ago, the most legendary match of the football team of the former Yugoslavia, the dramatic victory over Bulgaria with which it was placed on the European Championship in France in 1984 and which remained remembered after the legendary commentary by Mladen Delic, was played on the Split Stadium "Pobed"!
In the last round Yugoslavia played with Bulgaria and both teams went to the championship only with a win, while Wales was playing with remakes. The guests led through Iskrenov, before Safet Susic with two goals to make a turn for 2: 1. But the drama just started - Dimitrov leveled to 2: 2.
In the last minutes, all the "blue" are in attack, and the Bulgarians miss the hundred chance chance, before Zlatko Vujovic to "find" Radanovic for an incredible twist. This was Radanovic's first goal for the national team.
The EP performance was not glowing - three games and three defeats: Belgium 2: 0, France 3: 2 and Denmark 5: 0.
