Liverpool manager Jürgen Klop responded to Jose Mourinho's comments a few days ago about the success of the German expert. Mourinho stressed that Klop outside Germany (where he was coach of Borussia Dortmund) had nothing to gain.
- I do not follow Mourinho's press conferences, and should I? When he declared that nothing I had won outside Germany was right, it's not hard to see, said Clopp.
Both managers have been leading a "cold war" for several seasons, especially since 2015, when Clop sat on the Liverpool bench. The two are constantly relying on each other, and most often as "provocateur" is Mourinho.
Now Mourinho is struggling to survive on the Manchester United bench, while Clop with Liverpool is the leader of the Premier League along with Clasie (both teams have four wins of four duels). Additionally, Clop and Liverpool collect sympathy for the attacking football and the goals scored by the "reds", while Mourinho and Manchester United play unattractive football.
