Benzema scored the only goal as Madrid secured third consecutive laliga win beating Vallecano at Bernabeu. With this win, Madrid moved to 3rd in the table though Sevilla one sort on the game. It's sad to see many beautiful chances wasted but the game was improving for Madrid.

Not a great result but there were some positives for sure. Individual performance was good. You can tell Modric seems to have re-discovered his touch and passing skill. Asensio should have scored at least 2 goals though he had a couple of good runs on the ball. The defence was great yesterday. The defence kept Vallecano at bay until the dying minutes of the game. I believe that the attack can be better. They just need to keep creating more chances like last night and winning courage to go for goal. Lucas Vazquez is a very crucial member for Madrid. When he is not in the pitch, you feel the difference in the game. Madrid played beautifully but still, they lack finishing and it suggests they have to make a big transfer on January to keep alive in UEFA competition and to fight for the trophy in laliga.

A hard fought victory for the team. Madrid dominated in the game for the majority of the part and should have scored 2-3 goals more but as we've seen this season finishing has been mediocre for Madrid. Thanks to last minute double save by Courtois who secured 3 points.
