Akwa Ibom State hosted the Super Eagles throughout their FIFA World Cup qualification home matches and Nest of Champions was the arena in which they battled it out all thanks to our Sport loving Governor Mr Udom Emmanuel who was always there to take it upon himself to pay for those tickets, there by throwing the gate open and fans poured in from all around the country.
His great works didn't go unnoticed as he won the best sports Governor for year 2017 and year 2018 and Akwa Ibom State won the State with the best Sports supporters.
On this ground the memory of the Super Eagles Qualification to the just concluded FIFA World Cup in Russia was still fresh in the minds of all Sport loving Akwaibomite and Nigeria at large.

Football fans across Nigeria received a boost as the Governor of the host state Akwa Ibom, Mr Udom Emmanuel decides to give a super discount on the ticket price to encourage more fans to come out in their number to cheer the Super Eagles to victory on Saturday's AFCON Qualification match against Libya.
The Governor being an Arsenal fan knows the impact of the fans in an important game as this.
Playing the Log toppers was not going to be an easy task and all what was needed was for the fans to come out in their numbers to make them feel at home.
The ticket which earlier went for 1000 Naira for regular and 2000 Naira for VIP was drop to 500 and 1000 Naira respectively.
I was a beneficiary of this wonderful discount. I had some money left for my transportation all thanks to our able Governor Mr. Udom Emmanuel.
