Brazil will return to the field of play in a friendly encounter against another South America side Colombia on the 7th of September,2019.

Brazil will be playing for the first time after winning the Copa America on home soil back in July with an unbeaten record without the help of their poster boy Neymar Jr. due to an ankle injury.

The big news is that Neymar is set for a return to feature for the Samba Boys with the likes of Dani Alves who will be captaining the team, Thiago Silva, Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho as they square it out with Colombia.

Vinicius Junior has been invited to stand in for Manchester City attacker Gabriel Jesus who suffers a hamstring injury.

Manchester City shot stopper Ederson will be standing in for injured Liverpool's goal Keeper Allison, on the opposite side Liverpool's midfielder Fabinho will replace City's Fernandinho.

Colombia on the other hand will also be making a return to the field of play after crashing out at the quarter finals of the 2019 Copa America after losing to Chile on penalties.

Colombia maintained a 100% record at the group stages but couldn't make it to the final.

So this is a strong test as they wish to bounce back to winning ways.

Colombia will be missing the services of their veteran strikers Falcao and James Rodriguez as they both suffer ankle injury and calf injury respectively while playing for their respective clubs.

With the absence of this duo coach Carlos Queiroz has invited Atlanta duo Zapata and Luis Muriel as a great replacement for the veterans strikers.

Zapata has been in good scoring form scoring 2 goals in two Serie A matches.

With a very composed defense line up Colombia has only concerned once in their last 8 matches.
