Today joy and happiness returns to the Southern City of Abia State as Enyimba return to play on it home ground.

Enyimba FC returns home after three (3) years of playing away from home while the stadium was being renovated and expanded to 16,000 capacity.

The People Elephant have been hosting domestic and CAF fixtures in nearby Port Harcourt in 2016 and at the U.J.Esuene stadium of Calabar in 2017 and 2018.

This was the ground they won their first and second CAF Champions league in year 2003 and 2004 season.

The players are optimistic that luck will be on their side as the home fans move into the stadium in their number to cheer them to victory as they take on CARA Brazzaville of Congo in the last group game of the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup fixture.

Nigerian's only surviving representative in the Total CAF Confederation Cup stands 2nd behind the Congolese side with 9 points, same as the leader CARA who tops the group with a better goals' difference. So both teams are eyeing all three points if they want to move to the quarter final stage.

I hope Enyimba is ready to give its home fans something to cheer about on their home return.
