The EPL has overshadowed the Nigeria Professional Football League over the years but I believe scorum is sure a nice platform that gave everyone a level ground to promote both locals and international sports. I will be so happy to be promoting NPFL on scorum, because if I'm not proud of what I have no one will truly value it.

On Matchday 4, 5 draws and 7 wins as no away team had the opportunity to run away with all three points. Club like FC Ifeanyi Ubah are yet to lose or concede a goal after four games, pulling out two wins and two draws, Akwa United are yet to win any game after three games with one outstanding.

Enyimba 0-0 Lobi Stars
After getting off the mark on Matchday 3 last Sunday against Kwara United. The people's elephant were looking forward to bounce back against Lobi Stars before their home fans. Lobi Stars who were playing their first league game as a result of their participation in the CAF champions league on the other end were equally confident enough to start their first game on a high note if they want to stand a chance to play in next year CAF champions league. The home side makes 6 changes to the team that bow 3-2 to Kwara United on Matchday 3.
The home side started on a flying note but Bashir missed a chance that could have given the game a different result on the 3'. The early hours saw Lobi Stars parking the balls trying to level scores. Kayode the Lobi Stars save hands pull up a super save in the 24' to deny Ifeanyi's header from getting in.
Enyimba took control of the first half as the away team had only one opportunity to pull a shot on target. The home side were wasteful upfront after some excellent work by the midfielders.
After wasting glut of changes in first half, the second half didn't present many opportunities for both teams to choose from as both keepers make string of fine saves as they try running away with one point apiece.
Lobi Stars' right-back John Lazarus was sent off for the second bookable offence at the 86' but the away team makes sure that they still run away with a point.

Bendel Insurance 0-0 Kwara United
The home fans couldn't wait to see their darling team return home after a controversial 1-1 draw to Remo Stars on Sunday.
Bendel Insurance played their first home game in the NPFL after 11 years of absence.
Kwara United on the other hand came into this match on high spirit after defeating Enyimba of Aba 3:2 on their home ground last Sunday.
The first half was played with caution but both sides missed some heartbreaking chances. The premium opportunity went to Bendel Insurance's Junior Osaghae, whose superb header was rescued by Kwara United center defender Andrew Ikefe, off the goal line.
Insurance came into the second half maintaining their dominance over the away side, but they couldn't displaced the Kwara United defense. Kwara United keeper was just so composed on the day, Emma Uangboje was just unlucky as his effort was ruled out for offside.
Both teams had to settle for a draw as we saw the second goal less draw on matchday 4.
The result means that Insurance have to wait until next game to get their first win. Kwara United on the other end is now on second on the log ahead of Enyimba with a point.

Niger Tornadoes 0-0 Remo Stars
This was another unfruitful game on matchday 4 as both teams settled on a point apiece.
Niger Tornadoes had an opportunity to register their first win in 2019 season after drawing their first game and loosing their second to Wikki Tourist 2-1 away from home.
Remo Stars were just playing their second game of the campaign after their opening game ended in a controversial 1-1 with newly promoted side Bendel Insurance.
The first half gave The home side opportunities to proof a point as they had majority of the possession but didn't yield any positive opportunity as the Remo Stars stopper was not trouble.
The second half had only one outstanding moment as the Remo Stars save hands was called upon to rescue his team as he pulled off a superb one-handed save from Eric Frimpong effort in the 50' and after that the game went into a period in which no wind blew.
The game wrapped up with a 0-0 draw as Remo went back fulfilled.

Sunshine Stars 1-1 Rivers United
Sunshine Stars finally had an opportunity to play before their home fans' on matchday 4 as their second game in wish they could have played at home against Lobi Stars was being postponed due to the away team involvement in CAF champions league.
The host were humbled at home in Akure right before their home fans' as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Rivers United.
The first half was not so electrifying as it ended in a goal less draw.
The second half resurface with a fairly improve home side as Fuad Ekelojuoti put the hosts ahead with a diving header on the 50' but it took Rivers United only 7 minutes to level scores as Wasiu Jimoh headed home a corner kick to level up matters for the visitors.
The home side try pushing for the second goal but yielded no positive result as Rivers United defense was just so composed.

Akwa United 2-2 Plateau United
The Nest of Champions was in high spirit as fans welcome former Akwa United coach Abdu Maikaba who was in charge of the team last season as the finish second.
The first half started on a high tempo as the home side were on front foot and on the 19' Akwa draw first blood from new signing Mfon Udoh as he put the host in front.
The striker who finally score his first goal after two games this season capitalized on Dele Ajiboye mistake to drive the ball into the back of the net with ease as the first half ended 1-0 in favour of the host.
The second half gave birth to a more determined Plateau United as they revive their attacking spirit which yielded fruit in the 59' through a solo effort from B. Ovoke as he level scores.
After a disappointing first home game lost, Akwa United were in search for all three points to revive the fans' faith on them.
Mfon Udoh was foul outside the box and a free kick was awarded. The resultant free kick was carefully taken by Udoh as the ball drives into the net with Ajiboye loosing sight of the ball. This goal put Akwa back in front once again.
Akwa United head coach Rafael Everton substituted defender Adou Bliase for an attacker Paul Obata as he pressed for more goals but it was a different ball game as Plateau United came back to level 2-2 in added time as Turba got the ball pass Akwa United save hands Jean Efala.
It was another disappointing day at the Nest of Champions but coach Abdu Maikaba showed some class and how well he understood his opponent.
