Going around Super Eagle's First Training session. How prepared are the Eagles?

The first training session was quite disappointing, as fans gathered at the practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium wanting to see the Super Eagles trained but unfortunately the players didn't show up.

But News came in later in the evening that Super Eagles won't be training but it didn't get across to all the fans as they were scattered around the stadium.

Why Keep the fans waiting?

On the early hours of Wednesday the Press came out to make sure the fans are given due explanation.

Therefore from all the reports that got across to the fans I came to the conclusion that the main reason for that huge disappointment was because of the late arrival of the players due to flight issues, flight delay and postponement and other things. They had a total of 22 players in camp as at day 3. But Brown and Super Eagles main striker Odion Ighalo were yet to be in camp.

So due to fatigue the coach had to excuse them from the first training session.

Some of the players got to Lagos first and then join a flight to Calabar before driving down to Uyo on road.

Some players had up to 13 hours flight just to meet up with other players in Uyo.

So the coach takes a look at all this and know it's going to be too much on them and it's not actually going to yield the best of result if they have to go, do some hard training on the day, he then choose to engage them on some light training in the gym.

So yesterday the players had their first training session which was also open for fans, which I missed. But my hands was on their twitter handle to keep in touch with the ever exciting atmosphere in the Nest of Champions.

How did the Eagle's training go down?

The Nigeria national football team had their first full training session yesterday the 10th day of October 2018 ahead of their AFCON Qualification match with Libya.

From all the report I got, the players were all in good shape and looking really sharp with the likes of Odion Ighalo getting 4 Goals and Wilfred Ndidi also doing great on the pitch.

They first set of training was the ball controlling segment. The coach later divides the players into three groups, the blue, the red and yellow. It was good to see them touch and control the ball around.

The team in the yellow had the likes of T.Ekong and Iwobi.

The coach later divide them into two teams in which they had to play against themselves but the Star Boy Alex Iwobi had to play for both sides and Ighalo scored 4goals which throw the fans to excitement.

The good thing about thoes goals was that the assist came from Players who are likely to start on the day, in the person of kelechi lhenacho, Iwobi, Onazi.S

So when I see this set of players creating those assists for Him I can picture how Saturday is going to look like.
