It was an Easter Sunday showdown in the Lafia Township Stadium, Nasarawa State, North Central Nigeria when El Kanemi Warriors came visiting.
The Solid Miners resurrected to winning ways after a 3:1 defeat to Heartland FC on matchday 15.
For the second time Nasarawa United score 3 goals in the first half as they whop El Kanemi Warriors 5-1 full time.
The stands of the Lafia Township Stadium was 95% filled as fans came out in their numbers to cheer their team to victory. The massive fans number was as a result of the Easter holidays as all ministries, schools and other sectors took out time off to catch fun with family and friends. I didn't miss the show either, all thanks to your encouragement and support.

Match Review: All From The First Minute.
Matchday 16, feature 12 games in different different venues and a total of 21 goals was being recorded, 17 goals from Group A and 4 for Group B.
Among all this it was the Lafia Township Stadium that gave the fastest goal update on the day as Ibrahim Sanusi (19 years) grab the spot light just 30seconds into the game as his long ball bit El-Kanemi Warriors goalkeeper Modou Gobe.
El-Kanemi Warriors try getting back into the game but it was a fruitless attack as Sanusi double the lead on the 30' as Ikhanna Okafor assisted him to get his second goal of the day and his 7th in this NPFL season just one goal behind the highest goal scorer Mfon Udoh of Akwa United.
The celebration fever didn't subsided when Anas Yusuf make it 3-nil just two minutes later at the 32' as the away team possible hope of coming back into the game was being erased. I. Sanusi almost register a hat trick with an overhead kick in the first half but his goal was rule out for an Offside as the line man flag was up. The first half ended in a 3-0 scoreline.
The second half also began with some good moments but it was Ndala Isah who extented the lead to a disgraceful 4-0 at the 52' as the away fans lose hope.
Sulley Mohammed helped reduce the goal tally at the 65′ but it was only a consolation goal for the away team.
When we thought that the celebration hour is over Emmanuel Ogbole tap in a effortless finish after a counter attack at the 88′ to complete the 5-1 whopping of El-Kanemi Warriors.
The win took Nasarawa United to 4th while El-Kanemi Warriors maintained their 2nd position as all top three teams in Group B were being defeated on Matchday 16.
