Good news from Amsterdam.

21-year-old Abdelhak Nouri lost consciousness during a friendly game with "Werder" on July 8, 2017. He was taken to the hospital directly from the field by helicopter. Abdelhak had a heart attack due to arrhythmia. The doctors brought the player into a state of artificial coma. Later, Nouri was diagnosed with serious and irreversible damage to the brain.

13 months after the tragedy, the footballer's family gave the first interview in which Abdelhak's brother Mohammed told positive news about the player's condition - Nouri came out of a coma and found out his relatives.

"The state of his nervous system is much better than a few months ago. Physically, it is difficult for him: he can only move his head. Sometimes he is put in a wheelchair. He communicates with us with gestures", - sofoot.com quotes Mohammed Nouri as saying.

  • In the debut season-2016/17 Nouri held for "Ajax" 41 match, scored 11 goals and made 14 assists.
  • When Abdelhak was still in a coma, the doctors conducted an experiment: they applied a ball to his chest. The sleeping football player reacted to him.
