The Madrid derby will host the Flora stadium in Tallinn.
In 2012, "Atletico" bombed "Chelsea" (4: 1) in the last Supercup at the stadium "Louis II" in Monaco. The match gathered a catastrophically small audience: the 18-thousandth bowl was missing from four thousand fans, and from the support of the fans, it grew fatigued. The UEFA Bosses clearly did not suit the fading interest and bald spots in the stands, and they included holding an exhibition tournament in the promotion of football in small countries.
Hunger-stricken in the atmosphere of the state modernized the arena only in order to at least once in my life to look at the game of turbo stars not on TV. Czech Republic, Wales, Georgia, Norway, Macedonia easily beat the stands with fans, and local residents celebrated the date of the Super Cup as one of the main holidays of the year. In Tbilisi, tickets were bought out in 20 hours, the stadium was filled with 50 thousand. In Skopje, the figures were more modest only because of the capacity of the stadium at 36k - no one had any idea that anyone other than Goran Pandev was interested in football in Macedonia.
The UEFA Super Cup 2018 was commissioned by Estonia, which celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Republic and successfully held the European Championship 2012 among young men under 19.
Daily Mail resented the size of the stadium "A. Le Coq Arena "(initially it contained only 10.5 thousand) and creaked because of dishonest attitude towards the Spanish fans (the quota for each club was about 1500 tickets). Problems arose with logistics: there were no direct flights from Madrid to Tallinn, so the fans traveled through Finland or Germany either by car or by local airports, where they seriously raised ticket prices almost twice: if they flew earlier for 250 euros, now the price tag is at least 400.
The Estonian Football Association responded by media restoration of the Flora stadium for five million euros: now the arena can accommodate 15,000 spectators at the expense of two new stands, has a roof trimmed with a VIP box with fences and a new electronic scoreboard. Six thousand tickets were delivered to free sale, and with them, UEFA also acted on conscience to get rid of far-fetched privileges for Estonians. People applied for tickets, and after June 26, the lottery determined the lucky ones. The official price of tickets was 50-130 euros, so they were quickly sold out.
The only thing that the local residents were dissatisfied with was the distribution of tickets for the press and famous guests. On television, it took two thousand, although, according to Estonians, it would be better to leave half the audience. Another part of the passages was taken by the Estonian Football Association and played them at matches of local teams in order to put the audience on the national championship.
Six years ago, Atletico played with the army of lazy Monegasques, which are already full of top European signs. August 15, "Indians" come out at the same 15k - only now the energy from electrified fans climbs on the field. Estonians will do everything to spend this day unforgettably. At least for myself.
