RB Leipzig eyeing a move for another Nigerian forward Atto Abbas this summer after Ademola Lookman, according to a source who is a representative of the Bundesliga club.

Talented Kaduna-born who is comfortable playing as a winger, central midfielder and attacking midfielder for Turkish Super Lig outfit Kasimpasa.

The source hinted that Abbas has been on the watchlist of RB Leipzig youth side since a couple of months ago.

“The boy has great potential because he possesses a wonderful footwork, nice

thinking, speed and agility ” the club rep told our reporter.

“We want to sign him for our B team, and we believe he will continue to improve. Hopefully, we can reach agreement with the boy as soon as the club [Leipzig] is fully ready.

“Kasimpasa SK claimed that the player has been training with them for year now and are still in the process of his paperwork. Serious interest from RB Leipzip could depend on Kasimpasa’s willingness to let him go.

Abbas says he is ambitious to take his fledgeling European career to higher levels.

“I see myself playing for one of the best teams in Europe in the next five years and doing amazing things,” the 21 year winger who is also adept as a midfielder said.

“My desire is to get to the top, to work hard for what I want to be and make every opportunity very useful. I have played soccer all my life.”

Abbas started his football career at S.M.C Youth before joining the reserve team in Kasimpasa.
