Arsenal have already been in the market and strengthened the squad with a couple of young players, and one of them is 21-year-old Nuno Tavares, who started inside the test match against Rangers last week. Here came the young Portuguese left-back on the scoreboard, as Arsenal's first goal scorer in a match that ended 2-2.

Mikel Arteta, Arsenal's manager, has been quite impressed with the new fullback and the start of new acquisitions at the London club:

  • Nuno is a good defender, and I'm quite impressed by is playing style.

Tavares managed to play 39 games for Benfica, where he is listed for one goal and four assists. At Arsenal, the young Portuguese has been provided with a contract until 2025.
