Each month, the Premier League Player of the Month Award is given to the player who has performed best in the past month. Again, the winner was found and the choice fell on Bruno Fernandes from Manchester United, who has now won the award two months in a row.

The Portuguese midfielder has been in great form for Ole Gunner Solskjaer's squad this season, where he has already scored 15 goals in the Premier League and Champions League, and December was no exception. Here, Bruno Fernandes has played six games, scored three goals and made four appearances.

The other nominees for the award were Anwar El Ghazi (Aston Villa), Emiliano Martinez (Aston Villa), Ben Mee (Burnley), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Mohammed Salah (Liverpool), Tomas Soucek (West Ham) and John Stones ( Manchester City).

The Premier League Manager of the Month was also named, and here the choice fell on Dean Smith from Aston Villa. He led his team undefeated through December and finished with a 1-1 result at Stamford Bridge as the crowning achievement.
