Skipper Alessio Romagnoli looks set to be past AC Milan this summer.

When Alessio Romagnoli's contract with AC Milan expires this summer, it is in all probability over for the captain of the Milan club. The two parties can still not agree on an extension. It announces the Gazzetta dello Sport.

Milan have offered Romagnoli a new contract with a pay cut of almost 50% due to the Italian defender's new roles in the club, where he does not start inside when all players are fit to play. The salary offer does not appeal to Romagnoli, and therefore both parties have allegedly given up on continuing the collaboration. Milan would reportedly prefer to spend the money that they would not offer Romagnoli on extending with other players

27-year-old Romagnoli came to Milan in 2015 from AS Roma. Milan paid 191 million. kroner for the defender, who has been captain of the club since 2018/2019, where he took over the job from Leonardo Bonucci. Romagnoli has played 244 first team matches for Milan
